The Forest Academy

The Forest Academy is a part of the Beacon Multi Academy Trust, along with Beal High School and BBIH, The Beacon Innovation Hub. TFA is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school, located in the north east corner of Redbridge. Currently there are some 900 students on role.

TFA is on a journey of rapid improvement. It was ranked 4/55 for attainment and 11/55 for progress at KS4 in 2016,  when compared to similar schools. It is a welcoming educational environment and was judged as good in all aspects by Ofsted in September 2013.

The school boasts a really positive and supportive relationship between staff at all levels and , and between staff and students. Teachers are encouraged to have an impact beyond their subject. We have an impressive range of extra-curricular activities and all our staff are involved in running at least one. Ours is a caring and well-ordered environment in which all students can enjoy learning, develop enquiring minds and acquire the skills and knowledge they need for a changing world.   Every day we see the results of our efforts in students who work responsibly and with consideration for others – they really are the best ambassadors for the school .
